Fairmont Aquatic Park Rules
This page lists the rules and regulations governing the use of the Fairmont Aquatic Park. These rules have been developed/established for the benefit and safety of the swimmers at the Fairmont Aquatic Park. Things to consider while preparing for your visit to the Fairmont Aquatic Park......
Any one entering the Fairmont Aquatic Park, including spectators, will be required to pay the daily admission rate.
Persons with infections or a disease that can be transmitted through the water shall not be allowed in the Park
Guests not toilet-trained are required to wear Little Swimmers swim diapers or plastic pants (over a "regular" diaper) when swimming at the Fairmont Aquatic Park. Little Swimmers are available for purchase at the Aquatic Park front desk.
Flotation devices, such as water wings, life jackets, fun noodles, etc. are not allowed to be brought into the Fairmont Aquatic Park.
Swimmers are required, according to the Minnesota State Law, to shower before entering the water and after using the toilet facilities.
The Fairmont Aquatic Park and Aquatic Park Personnel are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Aquatic Park staff will not be able to hold guest's personal belongings. Lockers are available for use. Personal locks can be used to secure lockers or one may be purchased at the front desk.
Swimsuits with rivets or zippers are not allowed down the super slides.
Things to consider during your visit to the Fairmont Aquatic Park......
Guests are required to shower before entering the water and after using the toilet facilities
Please change diapers in the locker room, not pool side/on the deck
Spitting or spouting water from the mouth is prohibited. Please reminded children not to drink pool water.
No shoving, pushing, running, throwing of objects, or rough play is allowed.
Foul and obscene language will not be tolerated.
Paging is not available for individuals.
Guests must be 48" tall to use the two super slides at the Park
Smoking is not permitted inside of the Fairmont Aquatic Park
Pool phones are for business use only. A pay phone is provided in the entrance for personal use.
Please do not sit on the gutters around the pools. This prohibits water filtration.
Additional rules may be enforced by management if deemed necessary.
Kiddie Pool Rules
- No running on or around the water play equipment.
- No head first sliding on the kiddie slide.
- Only 1 slider at a time. Wait for the person in front of you to exit the slide area before going down.
- No climbing or hanging on pipes, handrails, etc
- No sitting on the gutter system around the pool.
- All general pool rules apply.
Super Slide Rules
- No metal is allowed on the two super slides - metal rivets, metal clasps on suits, etc. It is recommended that jewelry be removed prior to going down the slides in order to prevent injury and loss
- Eyeglasses and goggles must be removed prior to going down the two super slides.
- Passengers must go down feet first while lying on your back or in a sitting position while riding the slide.
- Riders must wait for the lifeguard's start signal before starting the ride.
- Keep arms and hands inside the slide at all times.
- Do not stand, kneel, rotate, spin, or stop while riding the slides.
- At the end of the slide, obey all instruction by the splash pool lifeguards and exit quickly.
- CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and person with heart conditions for back trouble should not ride the slides.
- All general pool rules apply.
Diving Pit Rules
- Individuals using the diving boards and drop slides may be asked to perform a swim test. The swim test consists of swimming on your own from one side of the pool to the other and back again to where you started. This test is to ensure that the individual using the diving pit will be strong enough to reach the edge of the pool.
- Swimmers may dive in designed areas only.
- Only one person is permitted on each diving board at one time.
- Diving is not permitted from the side of the pool. You must dive straight off of the diving boards only.
- Only one bounce off of the diving board is permitted.
- Divers may jump off the diving boards, dive, perform front flips, etc. Back flips and gainers will not be permitted.
- No sitting or hanging on the boards.
- No swimming under the diving boards. Divers should swim directly to the ladder on their side of the pool and exit quickly.
- Divers should not be on the diving boards until the previous diver has reached the edge of the pool and is exiting the pool
- Persons using the diving boards and drop slides must remove eyeware (glasses and goggles) before going off of the boards/down the drop slides.
- Riders of the drop slides must wait for the lifeguard's start signal before starting the ride.
- Only one person is allowed down each drop slide at one time.
- All general pool rules apply.
Lap Pool Rules
- Please do not touch or hang on the rims of the basketball hoops.
- No shoving, pushing, etc.
- No floating on the basketballs or volleyballs.
- No diving or running into the pool.
- All general pool rules apply.
What to Bring:
Proper swim attire (no zippers or rivets on suits) Bathing suits must be worn when using the pools. No jean shorts or cut off shorts may be worn. A clean white/light colored 2007 season pass application formt-shirt may be worn over swimming apparel.
Towel
White t-shirt for sun protection
Sunscreen
"Little Swimmers" or plastic pants for children in diapers
Sunglasses
Money for the Concession Stand and pay phone
What Not To Bring:
Outside food, beverage, or cooler (The concession stand is to purchase food and beverages. Picnic table are available outside of the entrance for guests use.)
Flotation devices, such as water wings, life jackets, and fun noodles
Lawn Chairs
Tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, and illegal substances
