The Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce is again coordinating with local merchants and participating banks in the 0% Interest Christmas Loan Program. The program is designed to help local shoppers secure no interest loans for Christmas shopping. The loans must be repaid by May 1, 2009.

Beginning November 1st, loans are available at:
Bank Midwest
First Farmers & Merchants National Bank
Profinium Financial, Inc.
State Bank of Fairmont

Loans range from $300 to $1,000. After a loan is approved, the bank issues a check to the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce for the amount of the loan. The customer brings the check to the Chamber office and receives certificates for the amount of the loan. The certificates can then be redeemed at the Fairmont area merchants who are participating in the program.
