City Engineer / Director of Public Works
Fairmont, Minnesota, (11,000) a growing regional center in southern Minnesota, is seeking a City Engineer / Director of Public Works direct and manage engineering, public works, and utilities. New position is responsible for a department of 61 employees, General Fund operations of $2.3 million and an annual Utilities operating budget of $19.2 million. Reports to City Administrator. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, registration as a professional engineer in Minnesota or within six months of the hire date, and five years of progressively responsible engineering experience. Supervisory experience and civil engineering background preferred. Salary: mid-$80-$90,000s, depending on qualifications and experience. Relocation negotiable.
