Fairmont Glows

Over the holidays, Fairmont is transformed into a "City of Lights". You'll enjoy the festive lights everywhere - on homes, businesses, and in two of our city parks.

Kids of all ages will bundle up for the Parade of Lights which kicks off "Fairmont Glows" on Friday, November 18th. The parade begins at Wards Park, goes through Downtown Plaza, and marches out to Lincoln Park. You'll see Santa, a reindeer or two, angels and lots and lots of lights!

You'll also see delightful displays in both Ward and Lincoln Parks. In Ward Park, the light display of animals was designed to recapture the spirit of Fairmont's Interlaken Zoo. In Lincoln Park, you'll enjoy the feel of an old fashioned Christmas. Both parks draw an ongoing stream of visitors. The lights are usually turned on the weekend before Thanksgiving and are lit daily from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. through January 1st. Bus tours are welcome. Information call (800) 657-3280.
