Vision For The Future

Fairmont Area Foundation was started in 1993 by visionary community members along with a matching grant from the Mickelson Foundation. Gifts from individuals, families, businesses, and estates have helped the fund grow to over $1,650,000 and has generated earnings of over $571,000. These earnings have been distributed back to Martin County communities through grants.

The Fairmont Area Foundation had grant requests in 2007 exceeding $215,000. The amount available for giving was $81,654. This disparity has been very typical of the last few years. Unfortunately, there continues to be many worthwhile projects that go unfunded.

Please take a moment to review the list of projects that have received grants since 1994. We believe that you will agree these meaningful projects have made this area a better place to live.
