1. Call to Order

Meeting of the Fairmont Area Youth Council held on Monday, January 8, 2007 at the Fairmont City Hall Council Chambers

                 

2. Roll Call - If at least 5 members are present state that we have a quorum for tonight’s meeting.

3. Reading of the Minutes

            - Minutes of December 18, 2006 meeting

 

4. Old Business

            - Youth Activities Expo

                        - Geared for the upper elementary & Jr high school student

                        - Get them acquainted with the youth organizations, clubs and opportunities in Fairmont

                        - Ideas for event

                                    -Open Discussion

 

            - Dance co-sponsored with KCs: January 19

                        - DJ: Stage 1 Sound

                        - Conducted from 8:00 – 11:30 p.m.

                                    - We are responsible for assisting with clean-up and DJ tear-down

                        - Packet

- Posters

                        Advertising

-          Schools, Radio, Newspapers, LAC, Fairmont Channel

Treats: Free & For Sale

-          Hot dogs, cans of pop, & hot chocolate (50 cents)

-          Nachos (need to purchase supplies and determine price)

-          Free Treats

5. New Business

            - Kick Butts Day           

                        - Wednesday, March 28

                        - Have not received packet from home office

                        - Check out website for ideas: www.kickbuttsday.org

                        - Need to determine project to apply for grant
