1. Call to Order

- Regular meeting of the Fairmont Area Youth Council held on Monday, December 6, 2004 at City Hall at 7:00 p.m. in the Fairmont City Hall Council Chambers.

 

2. Presentation by Officer Bleese – CounterAct program

 

3. Roll Call of Members Present

   Council members – introduce your self

   Have guests introduce themselves

   Explain about the FAYC – see FAYC handout

   Invite guests to stay for the remainder of the meeting and see what the youth council is up to right now

 

4. Reading of the Minutes (yellow) – Kimbra

            - Motion to pass the minutes from the November 1, 2004 meeting

 

5. Old Business – Important Dates

            - Make a motion to approve the following dates and activities

                                - December 13 @ 5:30                                      Council Chambers                             City Council Update

6. New Business

- Service Projects – Kendra & Tom

                - Other service projects and ideas for this year?

                - Make a motion to have Kendra and Tom schedule service projects January – May for next year.

                - Make a motion to have the council approve the service project  information at the next meeting  

- Membership/Community Awareness – Kimbra & Tyler & Council

                - Kimbra and Tyler  - present any additional ideas to gain members and make the community aware of the FAYC

                - Make a motion to approve and follow thorough with all/some/none of their ideas.

- Funding/Youth Activity – Betsy & FAYC members

- Make a motion to Schedule/start planning youth activity so we can have a goal in mind for our letter/website/grant at the next   meeting

- Fundraising information – Tentatively decide on the following

                * Tentative selling date(s)

                * Location to make pizzas

                * Set a goal of how many pizzas we are going to sell and decide on an incentive if we sell that many

           

7. Other Business

- Survey – everyone take a grade home
