- meeting of the Fairmont Area Youth Council held on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 5:30 p.m. at Lincoln Park Shelter House

- FAYC Information (picture of council if all members are present)

- May Baskets

                Council assembled baskets after the May 1 meeting

                Members present delivered basket to the Fairmont PD

                Chelsey and Amber received baskets on May 2 to deliver to Sherburn/Welcome PD

                - Planning & Budgeting Process for next term

                                - Projects

                                                - What are some projects you are interested in?

- Each council member received a packet of ideas of projects from other communities - - - not to say that these projects are feasible for our group, but they give us ideas and could be adapted.

- Make a list

- Decide on projects/events/activities

                                - Monthly service projects – Monthly projects

                                                - What are some projects that you are interested in?

- Each council member received a packet of ideas of projects from other communities - - - not to say that these projects are feasible for our group, but they give us ideas and could be adapted.

- Decide on monthly service projects                                      

                - Officer Positions

                                - The council will need to vote for two officers for next year – a secretary and vice-president

                                                                Could the secretary and vice-president inform the council of the requirements of these positions?

                                - When should elections be held for officer positions?

- City Council Meeting Schedule: May 8: Nathan

                                                      May 22: Savanna

- Meeting dates: Last meeting of the School year

                                Should we decide a tentative summer schedule? – Example: Last Monday of the Month or 2nd Monday in the Month, etc?

                                We NEED to get budgeting for the upcoming FAYC term!!! This needs to be completed by the end of July!!!!!
