- Red Ribbon Week

Red ribbon week is an annual event to promote drug prevention. Red Ribbon Week is the most far-reaching and well-known drug prevention event in America. Over 80 million Americans participate in Red Ribbon Week Events, typically held during the last week in October.

                - Please take a few minutes to review the attached sheets for ideas on activities and events to host, etc.

                - The council has budgeted close to $2,000 dollars for this event – Stickers to hand out, bracelets, and ribbons for cars. Everything needs to be approved by the schools/community – but is there anything else you rather do or do in addition to these items? Would we want to plan a dance around Halloween and incorporate Red Ribbon Week into it – call it “ROCKIN For Red” or something like that? Have a table at schools with treats and create brochures and posters to hang around school?
