Fairmont Area Youth Council

Minutes from November 20, 2006 Meeting

1. The meeting was called to order at 5:41 p.m. at Fairmont City Hall
1. Meeting time changed due to several council members having a school related function

2. Present - Jesse, Abbey, Amber, Styles, Caleb, & Nathan
1. Attendance was not taken due to the short notice of the meeting

3. Minutes were passed from the 11-6-06 meeting

4. Commercial
1. Styles has commercial ready to go
2. Taping on December 5

5. GLOWS Auction
1. Jesse & Abbey were present
2. Abbey was FAYC spokesperson, as she was a guest host with the Mayor
3. Both council members assisted in answering the telephones

6. December Members Event
1. December 5 @ 5:30 @ Bowl Mor Lanes
2. Council will bowl 2 games
3. After bowling, council will return to City Hall for pizza, pop, a short meeting, and the commercial taping

7. Council motioned to approve the pizza fundraiser for this years project

8. Council tabled planning upcoming events and projects until next meeting

9. Council tabled the Salvation Army Bell Ringing service project until the next meeting

1. Jesse & Style updated the youth council on the 11-6-06 City Council meeting

11. Schedule of Events
1. November 27 @ 5:30 p.m: Amber & Chelsey attend City Council meeting
2. December 4 @ 5:30 p.m: Jesse, Abbey, & Styles attend City Council meeting

- Truth-In-Taxation Hearing, take public input and discuss the budget

3. December 5 @ 5:30 p.m: Bowling @ Bowlmor & Meeting @ City Hall

- Meet at bowling alley

- Two games of bowling

- Short meeting, pizza and pop at City Hall

4. December 18 @ 7:00 p.m: FAYC Meeting at City Hall

- Agenda topics: KBD, Fundraiser, Dance, Trip, Other projects
