Minutes from December 19, 2005 Meeting

 

  1. The official meeting was called to order at 7:58 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
    1. The council had a teambuilding exercise at 7:00 p.m. by the University of Minnesota Extension Office.

 

  1. Excused absence – Jon (ill), Nathan (Band/Choir concert), Amber, Chelsey, Ricky (concert)

 

  1. Minutes from the December 5th, 2005 meetings were passed

 

  1. Old Business
    1. Council tabled FAYC website viewing until the next meeting
    2. Betsy will update Local Access Channel
    3. Jesse/Ryan: Powerpoint presentation to be completed by next meeting, January 9th
    4. Justa to write article for Sentinel after Jan. service project

 

  1. New Business
    1. Fundraising

-          Council tabled till next meeting

-          Everyone to share ideas on what type of fundraiser to hold

-          Everyone bring ideas on what funding can be used for

    1. Events/Activities for coming year

-          Council approved to continue service projects and hold an event for Kick Butts Day

-          Council voted and passed a presentation @ the Opera House about driving privileges, recent new laws, etc. during the last half of March

1.         Council will discuss this at their next meeting

    1. City Council Meeting Schedule: Monday, Jan 9th: Justa & Savanna
    2. City Council Meeting Schedule: Monday, Jan 23rd: still open

 

  1. Next Meeting – Monday, Jan. 9th @ 7:00 p.m. in Fairmont City Hall Council Chambers: Pizza from Jake’s
