Minutes from the FAYC Meeting

Monday, March 8, 2004

 

  1. The meeting is called to order at 7:02 p.m. central time in the City Hall Chambers.

 

  1. Present members:  All members were present. (Tom, Kendra, Shanna, Jon, Tyler, Colby, and Kimbra)

 

  1. A motion was made and passed regarding the minutes from the March 1 meeting. These minutes were not read. Each council member received a copy of the minutes prior to our March 8 meeting.

 

  1. New Member:  Kimbra Schreurs

 

  1. T-shirts:  Jon was going to contact Deb Iverson. The council decided on going with a black, long-sleeved T-shirt, with the blob logo.

 

  1. Chaperons that have committed: Mr. Hernes, Mrs. Munson, a police officer, Connie Kettwich and (Betsy’s parents can help if necessary) The council will continue to discuss chaperones at their next meeting. The council members are to have asked other individuals that the council decided on before our next meeting.

 

  1. Movies:  Entrapment, Remember the Titans, and Bruce Almighty.

 

  1. Advertisement:  The council decided to not put flyers on cars.

If Z99 will run an ad for free, we will have them do so. However, if they          wish to charge, the council will forego this means of advertising.

                                  Asking about having something on Cardinal Country.

After the meeting, the council will place “flags” on suckers, which will be handed out to FHS students the week of the dance.

 

  1. Door Prizes: The list of door prices was reviewed and it looks good.

 

  1. Other Items: The council would like to have applications, brochures, and a comment box at the dance. Betsy will get this stuff put together and ready for us.

 

  1. Next meeting: The council will be meeting on Monday, March 22 and Monday, March 29 in order to get everything ready for the dance.

 

  1. Meeting was adjourned at 7:43 p.m.  

 

 

After the meeting, the council members put flags on the suckers.
