Fairmont Area Youth Council

Minutes from January 17, 2005 Meeting

1. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

2. Amanda Fude and Farrah Olson spoke on FMC’s Club Med. Club Med meets the 2^nd Monday of the month @ 7:00. It is a great organization for those interested in the healthcare field and those wanting to have fun. They also spoke on the volunteer opportunities with the FMC.

3. Kendra, Kelsey, Ashlee, and Justa – present

Jon, Tyler, Kimbra, & Tom – absent

Since there was no quorum for tonight’s meeting, no official business was conducted.

Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.

Council members made Valentine decorations for Lakeview Retirement Home and spoke on topics from tonight’s meeting.

 Justa will check availability of the Knights of Columbus building on March 18 and also STS (stage at Opera House)

 Kendra will review, decide, and seek approval for a Kick Butts Day activity.

 Ashlee is going to check with a DJ for availability on March 18.

 Kelsey is checking on the Opera House.

 Jon is speaking with Dave Smith regarding the Fruitcake Follies.

All council members are to report their findings at the next FAYC meeting – Monday, February 7 @ 7:00 @ City Hall. We will be having pizza that evening!!!!!
