Physicians
The majority of physicians in the community provide healthcare services at Fairmont Medical Center - Mayo Health System. The medical center campus in Fairmont includes a clinic, a 57-bed hospital, eye clinic, 40-bed nursing home, and a variety of outreach services including home care / hospice, rehabilitation and home oxygen. The Mayo One helicopter bases in Fairmont every other weekend or is just minutes away in Mankato, Minn. Fairmont Medical Center also has clinics in the neighboring communities of Sherburn and Truman, Minn., and Armstrong, IA., as well as a counseling office in Blue Earth, Minn. Fairmont Medical Center has 50 physicians / providers on the medical staff and is a major community employer with over 650 employees. Physicians from other Mayo Health System facilities as well as Mayo Clinic also see patients in Fairmont on a regular basis.
