In November of 1996 Fairmont students completed a Search Institute survey to determine their needs. The results of the survey lead to the establishment of a Healthy Youth Committee in January of 1998 to begin acting on the results of the student responses.
Although the work of the committee is ongoing, much help is needed by all community members, young and old, to share in the mission by assisting as time and energy permits. All of us can make a difference in the lives of youth in our roles as parent, grandparent, community member, school supporter, congregation member, on the job or as a neighbor.
Remember, it takes a whole village to raise a child! If you can help in any way, for any length of time, please contact us! Thank you on behalf of our youth!
